Kergres® is for sure the most characteristic and important material, unique of its kind, registered trademark of a formula which was studied by Wald’s search and development laboratory. Kergres® is a blend of fine clays, fired at high temperature, about 1250° C with high characteristics of hardness and resistance, reaching a high quality level.

Its natural ivory colour allows the expression of any creative process, with special decorative and chromatic effects, reaching with colours any tonality, from pastel to more lively. The decoration of Wald’s collections is one of the most important issues for the company, for sure it is the most complex, but the one which allows the making of characterized objects with a strong identity. The pattern, that is always under-glaze, will remain in time bright and unaltered. And when they are hand painted, unique objects are being created where small imperfections are the proof of their handicraft identity.
